Chaplaincy Services
The Chaplaincy: Pastoral and Spiritual Care
Chaplain: Revd. Nicola McIntosh
The team is made up of experienced health care chaplains from the main Christian faiths as well as visiting chaplains from the Muslim, Sikh and Quaker faiths. We also have trained volunteers, known as chaplaincy visitors, who spend time on the wards visiting patients.
Chaplains seek to support patients and staff of all faiths as well as those who have no faith or religious belief.
Faith & Belief Room
The Chapel and Muslim Prayer Room have been relocated into the new Faith & Belief Room which can be found on the corridor leading up from the Britannia Road entrance. This is a quiet space where all can come to pray, reflect or sit quietly. There are candles to light for your loved ones and prayer cards which can be taken away as well as a book to write your prayer requests in. It is open 24 hours a day and is used by patients, relatives, carers and staff.
