We offer cosmetic, reconstructive, aesthetic, laser and specialist treatments for private patients under our Consultant Surgeon – Mr Sandip Hindocha – within the Three Counties Laser and Skin Clinic, located in the Plastic Surgery Unit of Bedford Hospital NHS Trust.
The clinic is nationally recognised for its excellence with advanced laser equipment and specialist team. It has modern surgical theatres and provides many types of laser treatment and plastic surgery.
Adult cosmetic procedures include: breast augmentation; breast reduction; blepharoplasty (eyelid / bags under the eyes correction); face or neck lifts; liposuction; abdominoplasty (tummy tuck); rhinoplasty (nose); and otoplasty (ear correction).
Specialist skin treatments for adults and children include: laser hair removal; laser tattoo removal; removal of moles, cysts and fatty lumps; laser removal of facial thread veins; rhinophyma reduction (a skin condition of the nose); skin rejuvenation and skin injectables (reduce appearance of wrinkles).

The Bedford Hospital Plastic Surgery Unit also welcome NHS patients referred by a doctor (though many cosmetic treatments are not available on the NHS).
Mr Sandip Hindocha MD, MPhil, MBChB, MRCS, BTEC (Laser), MFFLM, FRCS (plast)
Mr Sandip Hindocha is a UK-trained and fully accredited plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, laser and hand surgeon and carries out a wide range of surgical and non-surgical procedures. He is the clinical lead for plastic surgery at Bedford Hospital.
Sandip is listed on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) and runs a private practice in Bedford. He qualified from the University of Manchester in 2005 and trained in Manchester, Liverpool, Dallas (USA) and Toronto (Canada). In addition to his plastic surgery training he has completed a recognised cosmetic fellowship programme.
Sandip is actively involved with research in the fields of plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, laser and hand surgery. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles and several book chapters and he has presented his work at national and international levels. He developed and runs an international plastic surgery course at the University of Mauritius, which has received acclaim in the national press and on TV in East Africa.
Among several academic prizes he has received for his work in plastic surgery is the prestigious Society of Academic Research Surgeons Award in 2009.
He is a member of the British Association of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS); the British Association of Surgery of the Hand (BSSH); the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) and the British Medical Laser Association (BMLA). Membership of the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine (FFLM) enhances his expanding medical legal practice.
Nurse Led Clinics
Natalie Allen and Kerry Muggeson
Natalie and Kerry are our Laser Nurse Practitioners. They are fully trained in laser safety techniques and run their own nurse led clinics. They attend, and have presented at national scientific meetings, and published their own peer-reviewed research.
Both Natalie and Kerry have a wealth of knowledge about conditions that are suitable for laser treatment. They have a specialist interest in skin rejuvenation and acne scarring, alongside laser hair reduction, laser tattoo removal and the laser treatment of vascular lesions.
|Natalie Allen qualified as a registered nurse at the University of Bedfordshire in 2005. She has since gained a BTEC Professional Certificate in Principles of Medical Laser & Light Therapies and Non-Surgical Procedures (2011) and a BSc in Healthcare Studies (2014). She has a keen interest in laser and surgical procedures of the skin.|
|Kerry Muggeson qualified as a registered nurse at the University of Nottingham in 2004. She has a particular interest in skin conditions and the majority of her postgraduate studies have been in skin and tissue viability. She completed a BTEC Professional Certificate in Principles of Medical Laser & Light Therapies and Non-Surgical Procedures in 2011 and works alongside Sue as Laser Protection Supervisor.|
