Description of the Ward
Harpur Ward specialises in complex care needs of female elderly patients. Staff are also trained to provide care for patients with dementia.
Routine of What Happens on the Ward
Patients are assessed on admission for individual care plans and the care needs are evaluated on each shift. Harpur Ward has hand over in the morning to discuss care needs of the patients and also conduct daily MDT meetings with the Consultant (Nurse in charge), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and our Social Worker to discuss medical and social issues.
2.00pm – 5.30pm and 6.15pm – 8.00pm.

The Harpur Ward can be found on the fourth floor of the ward block and is serviced by the Main Reception located on Kempston Road.

Protected Meal Times
Lunch – 12.30pm – 1.15pm.
Evening Meal – 5.30pm – 6.15pm.
How Many Beds?
Harpur Ward has 5 bays and 5 side rooms which in total consists of 25 beds. Harpur can also have a 7 bedded Infection Control Cohort area
The Sister in charge is available to speak to family members between 7.00am-4.00pm.
Hospicom, lounge area, DVD player and DVDs.
