Description of the Ward
Frail care of the elderly.
Routine of What Happens on the Ward
Doctors rounds tend to take place in the mornings. Patients are assisted with personal care. We have ward based occupational therapists and physiotherapists along with a social worker.
2.00pm-8.00pm but Protected Mealtimes are advocated.
Breakfast – 7.45am-8.15am.
Lunch – 12.30pm-1.15pm.
Evening Meal – 5.30pm-6.15pm
How many Beds
15 bedded Ward.
11 are on the main Ward.
2 beds on the balcony.
Nurse in charge is identified on the Nurses’ station and he/she is happy to speak with relatives.
